This post explains how to use Zilch on Amazon and get a voucher. If you are new to Zilch, you can get a £5-15 free Amazon voucher with little effort. This offer is too good to ignore.
I’ve been making money online since 2019. I’ve encountered some great opportunities and others that were not so helpful. Zilch is one of the better offers, and I will show you how to get your free voucher below.

What Is Zilch?
Zilch is a buy now, pay later scheme. When you sign up to Zilch, you get a Zilch card which you can use at Amazon and many other retailers. If you pay with your Zilch card, you do not have to pay instantly for what to buy.
Instead, Zilch pays for you, and you pay Zilch back in instalments over six months. The concept is similar to credit cards, but getting a Zilch card is much simpler. The other option is to pay your purchase off immediately and receive 2% cashback.
Is Zilch Legit?
Yes, Zilch is a legit company and not a scam. The company behind Zilch is Zilch Technology Limited. It is a registered company in the UK with the company number 11488502. The founders of Zilch are Philip Belamant and Sean O’Connor.
Zilch has good reviews on Trustpilot, with an average score of 4.6 out of 5.0. Overall, 90% of users rated Zilch as “great” or “excellent”. Only 8% of users rated Zilch as “poor” or “bad”.

What Is Trustpilot?
Overall, there are over 150 million reviews on Trustpilot. You can generally get a good understanding of the legitimacy and customer-friendliness of a company.
Instructions to Get a Free Amazon Voucher with Zilch
Instructions in Brief
1. Sign up to Zilch and verify your email address and phone number
2. You will receive 500, 1000, or 15000 rewards points
3. Search for Amazon on the Zilch website
4. Select “Enable for store” (Zilch will enable your card for two hours)
5. Note down the details of your Zilch card
6. Head to Amazon and purchase a gift card
7. Pay with your Zilch card
1. On the Zilch Website
You can sign up to Zilch for free using the button below. Zilch does a soft credit check, which will not appear on your credit report.
Once you have signed up, you should see your reward points on the main dashboard. This could be:
- 500 points (£5)
- 1,000 points (£10)
- 1,500 points (£15)
Currently, you can get a £15 free Amazon voucher with Zilch, but the offer changes frequently. When you get your voucher, it may be £5. Still, free money is free money! Scroll down to the “Browse Shops” section and search for Amazon.

When you have found Amazon on the Zilch website, you have to enable it. This is a safety mechanism that prevents fraud. Once you enable Zilch, you have two hours to complete your purchase. After that, your card becomes disabled, and you must enable it again.

Before you head to Amazon, note down the details of your Zilch card. You can find your card under “Settings” and “Linked Card”. Tap or click on the card to see the details.
2. On the Amazon Website
Go to the Amazon website to get a gift card top-up. Then, enter £5, £10, or £15 into the “Amount” field, depending on how many reward points you have. Click or tap “Buy Now” and enter the details of your Zilch card as payment method.
You can skip this step and directly add products you want to buy to your basket. Then, when you pay for these, you can enter your Zilch card details.
If you buy your products directly, you must spend exactly £5. If you buy more, you’ll get an interest-free loan from Zilch, which adds unnecessary extra steps to the process.
If you spend more than you have in rewards points, you must pay Zilch immediately. Otherwise, you will incur debt. Zilch reports debts to the credit agency, so non-payment can damage your credit rating.
Alternatives to Amazon Vouchers
If you don’t want to use Amazon, you can use your reward points at many other retailers. I recommend buying a gift card first so you can spend exactly £5, using up all reward points without owing Zilch anything. Retailers you can find on Zilch include:
- eBay
- Just Eat
- Iceland
- British Gas
- Next
- Samsung
- Apple
- Ikea
- Zara
- Adidas
- Asos
- Asda
- Deliveroo
- And many others
Not all retailers may offer gift cards. Some stores may also charge a transaction fee of £2.50 when you pay with Zilch. Zilch doesn’t state which retailers charge a fee, so I recommend using Amazon vouchers.
Zilch Refer-a-Friend Scheme
Zilch has a great friend referral scheme that enables you to earn more reward points for referring friends. You can continue to earn free vouchers this way.

At the moment, you receive £15 when your friend signs up to Zilch and makes their first purchase. Your friend also receives £15. This may change to £5 or £10, depending on when you refer your friend. When referring your friends, you should also inform them about the risks of buy now, pay later schemes.
Buy Now, Pay Later Scheme Warning
I do not recommend using Zilch beyond the sign-up offer and the friend referral scheme. Buy now, pay later schemes such as Zilch encourage getting into debt. It can be hard to keep an overview of how much you spend and keep on top of your repayments.
Buy now, pay later schemes can affect your credit score if you do not pay on time. Debt collectors proceed in the same way as with other debt.
When you use rewards points from the sign-up offer, you do not use the buy now, pay later function, so you are safe from accumulating debt.
However, if you have any concerns about debt, it is better to avoid this offer and make money in other ways. There are plenty of other offers around!
Other Ways to Get Free Amazon Vouchers
If you don’t want to complete this offer, there are plenty of other ways to get your vouchers. In particular, you could try:
- Swagbucks
- Cashback sites
- Other receipt-scanning apps
There are many more free money offers, some of which even pay direct cash instead of vouchers.
