What Is Utility Warehouse?
Utility Warehouse is an energy supplier and service provider. Utility Warehouse bundles several utility bills at a lower price than other operators.
Another difference is that UW is a multi-level marketing scheme. Customers of Utility Warehouse get paid to recruit new customers.
Across its services, Utility Warehouse has over 800,000 customers. It is one of the biggest energy providers in the UK. Utility Warehouse belongs to Telecom Plus, which was established in 1996.
Utility Warehouse was founded in 2002 to cover its energy, broadband, and telephone services. The UW cashback card is issued by PSI-Pay Ltd.
Is Utility Warehouse Legit?
Utility Warehouse is legit and not a scam. It is a registered UK company regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). On Trustpilot, Utility Warehouse has an average score of 4.2 out of 5.0. Overall, 78% of users rated Utility Warehouse as great or excellent.

Overall, there are over 150 million reviews on Trustpilot. You can generally get a good understanding of the legitimacy and customer-friendliness of a company.
What Is Cashback?
Cashback means you get a proportion of the purchase price back when you buy something. For example, if you buy something for £10 and the cashback rate is 10%, you would get back £1. Cashback is often part of advertising. Read more about ways to earn money with cashback.
How Does the Utility Warehouse Cashback Card Work?
The cashback card is one of many products from Utility Warehouse. It is a prepaid VISA card you can top up and use for everyday spending. When you spend money with your cashback card, you earn up to 10% cashback at partner retailers and 1% elsewhere.
Utility Warehouse subtracts your cashback from your utility bill. This is not a new concept. For example, Sprive gives you cashback on your mortgage. Read more in my Sprive app review.

1. Signing up
You can get the cashback card if you have one of the following services with Utility Warehouse:
- Gas/Electricity

2. Topping up
You can top up your card manually or set up automatic top-ups. You can set top-ups to a specific date of the month or add money when your balance is low.
