This is the guide about matched betting low-risk casino offers I wish I had when I started. Before profiting from low-risk casino offers, I had never been in a casino or placed a casino bet.
For me, slots were machines that would suck in all your money. Roulette seemed like a high-risk gamble where the chance to win was one in a thousand. Blackjack sounded like a drug. If you share the beliefs of the old me, this guide is for you.

What Is Low-risk Casino?
A low-risk casino offer is a promotion by an online casino. You deposit and wager money to get a bonus. You may lose money from these offers. Yet, over time, you should win more often than you lose. This is because the maths works in your favour. Low-risk casino offers are not the same as gambling. You’ll only complete profitable promotions.
How Much Money Can I Make From Low-risk Casino Offers?
The amount of money you can make depends on how much time you put in. Once more experienced, you can let the slots run in the background while doing something else. This lets you make £100-£300 monthly with 20 minutes of effort daily. Some months are more profitable than others due to:
- Variance
- Offers
- Time commitment
Below, you can see my profits from slot offers during my first year of low-risk casino. You will notice that the profit (green line) changes depending on the factors. Over time, there is a strong upward trend.

Low-Risk Casino Offers Guide: Terminology
The profitability of low-risk casino offers is based on statistics. The key factors are:
- Return-to-player (RTP)
- Variance
- Expected value (EV)
Return-to-player (RTP)
RTP is the way casinos make a profit. It defines how much of your stake (the money you bet) is returned to you (the player). Every casino game has an RTP. It is given as a percentage ranging between 85-98%.
Imagine you play a slot with 95% RTP. You bet 100 x £1 (your stake=£100). From staking £100, you can expect to win £95 (95% of your stake). You lose £5, which the casino takes as their profit. The higher the RTP, the less money you are likely to lose. Hence, you want to use the highest RTP slot.
Variance
If everyone were always losing, nobody would play slots. This is why casinos use variance. Variance means you could win big or lose everything, irrespective of RTP.
Variance describes short-term fluctuations. In the long term, the RTP of a slot or casino game will hold true. Imagine you are in a plane encountering turbulences. These turbulences (variance) do not mean the plane doesn’t reach its goal (RTP).
Planes may crash. RTP is different: It cannot be affected by anything. Slots are tested to ensure they are not manipulated.
Slots are categorised into low, medium, and high variance. You can minimise its effects by setting the slot to the maximum number of lines and using the minimum stake.
Expected Value (EV)
In the RTP section, you have learned that casinos are unprofitable for players. Yet, casinos may run promotions (offers) which we can take advantage of.
We know we lose £5 for each £100 staked on a 95%-RTP slot. Now, the casino may offer you a £10 cash bonus for each £100 staked. Staking the initial £100 will cost us £5, but with the £10 cash bonus, we have made a profit of £5 (EV=£5).
The amount of money you can expect to gain from an offer is called an EV. The offer involving staking £100 to gain a £10 cash bonus has an EV of £5.
Wagering
Instead of cash, you will likely get free spins or bonus money that has to be wagered once (x1). If your bonus comes in free spins, you may get 50 £0.20 spins. Whether it is a bonus or free spins does not matter.
If you receive a £10 bonus or 50 £0.20 spins with wagering, this means:
- x1 wagering: Staking £10 (or 50 £0.20 spins)
- x2 wagering: Staking £20 (or 100 £0.20 spins)
- x3 wagering: Staking £30 (or 150 £0.20 spins)
- And so on
Each round of wagering decreases the EV, making high-wagering offers less profitable. This is because each time you wager £10, the RTP is 95% (or £9.50). Thus, 0.5% of your bonus is lost each time.
Avoid offers that have a wagering higher than x1. Wagering decreases the EV of the offer. Plus, the higher the wagering, the more likely you will lose your bonus.
How to Play Blackjack

Blackjack should be your choice because of its high RTP (>99%). Blackjack is a card game to get a hand of cards equal to 21 points. You play against the dealer who will draw after you.
The dealer always has an advantage; you can minimise it using a strategy. In the game, you have several options, as shown in the image above:
- SPLIT: You can split and continue playing with two hands when you have a pair.
- STAND: End your turn.
- HIT: Draw another card. You can hit until you have 21 points or more (bust)
- DOUBLE: Double your stake.
The decision of which action to take depends on your hand. Consult a blackjack chart to find out what to do. You don’t need experience to play blackjack.
How to Play Roulette

I rarely play roulette, as blackjack has a higher RTP. However, roulette is an option for live-casino offers. Live blackjack takes a long time, and you may make mistakes due to nervousness.
In roulette, the dealer rolls a ball, and you predict the location it will land on. There are several different outcomes:
- Number
- Group of numbers
- Colour
- Odd or even
To play, place your chip on the board. Place your chip in the red or black box (without numbers) or on the odd or even fields. There are only two outcomes (red or black/odd or even). This reduces the variance.

How to Play Slot Games

Slots work like a lottery. You bet money and receive more or less money in return. While the concept sounds boring, you can win £1000s with low stakes. Yet, the return of a slot machine depends on its RTP. You may win £1000, but this should happen only after you lose £1,050 (based on 95% RTP).
Before playing, activate the maximum number of lines, and set the slot to minimum stake. We do this to minimize the variance. Once you are set, click the “spin” button.
Above, you can see the general layout of a slot game, although there are differences between slots. An important feature for matched bettors is autoplay. This lets you do many spins without much input.
Which Slot Should I Use?
Choose your slot based on RTP and variance. You want to use the highest RTP and the lowest variance. RTP is more important than variance. The promotion may also limit your choice. Notable slots include:
- Bloodsuckers (RTP 98.00%)
- Starmania (RTP 97.87%)
- Golden Tour (RTP 97.71%)
