7 Best UK Supermarket Loyalty Cards 2024

This post lists the best supermarket loyalty cards in the UK. Supermarket reward programs are great to save money on your grocery shopping. But you don’t want to waste your time with pointless cards that only add clutter to your bag.

I’ve lived in the UK for over ten years, giving me ample time to try all loyalty cards. Below, you can see the ones that stuck with me.

1. Tesco Clubcard

Tesco Clubcard is Tesco’s customer loyalty program. With it, you can collect points when you shop. Then, you can use these points to get discounts and rewards.

The Clubcard app is called “Tesco Grocery & Clubcard”. Tesco introduced it in April 2023 and replaced the old app. Customers can keep all the points they accumulated using the old app.

2. Nectar Card

Nectar is Sainsbury’s customer loyalty program. Customers signed up to the scheme can earn points when they shop at Sainsbury’s or its partners. You can redeem points for discounts and rewards.

Nectar was launched in 2002. It merged the loyalty schemes of Sainsbury’s, BP, Barclaycard, and Debenhams. The Nectar scheme is part of Nectar 360 Limited, which belongs to Sainsbury’s.

3. Lidl Plus

Lidl Plus is Lidl’s loyalty scheme. You can join and use this scheme through the Lidl Plus app to get discounts on groceries. The Lidl Plus app is free to use. Lidl’s reward scheme, Lidl Plus, was launched in the UK in 2020. Lidl operates it, and you can use it at all Lidl supermarkets in the country.

4. Asda Rewards
