Ziffit is a reselling website. The company buys your old books, games, DVDs, and CDs. On the app or website, you can use your products’ barcode to learn how much you’ll get. Ziffit then collects your items and pays you.

What Is Trustpilot?

Trustpilot is an independent consumer review platform. It has no affiliation with the sites mentioned in this post. On Trustpilot, users can anonymously rate and review companies they have used.

How Does Ziffit Work?

Scan the barcode of your items or type it in on the website. Ziffit then tells you how much they pay for these items. If you are happy, pack them up and wait for Ziffit’s courier to collect them. After Ziffit has checked your items, you will receive the payment. It is that simple.

Ziffit resells your items to make a profit or recycles them. Ziffit promises that your items will not end up in a landfill.

1. Getting a Price for Your Items

Ziffit barcode scan

The first step to selling with Ziffit is to appraise your items. Type in the barcode on the website or scan it with Ziffit’s app. Ziffit buys:

  • Books
  • Video games
  • CDs
  • DVDs

Ziffit does not accept PC games.

While Ziffit is convenient, they don’t pay well. Books often sell at a few pence at most. Games, CDs, and DVDs can fetch a better price, but it will not be a world-changing amount.

Some sites pay more for your items, such as eBay, eBay alternatives, and sites to sell old CDs. Try other ways to sell before using Ziffit.

2. Sending Your Items to Ziffit

You can finalise the sale if you agree to Ziffit’s price and have:

  • At least ten times or
  • An overall value of £5

You need a box and package your items yourself. Supermarkets and other shops often give free boxes to customers. Thus, you may be able to save money on packaging.

Then, drop your package off at a Collect+ store or have a courier collect it. You can use the courier if your parcel weighs more than 15 kg. Ziffit gives you a printable label for shipping.

3. Getting Your Items Checked by Ziffit

For this step, you do not have to do anything. Once Ziffit has received your parcel, they check that the contents match your list and are in good condition. Ziffit may reject your items for the following reasons:

  • They already have too many of the same items.
  • Your item is damaged.
  • Your item does not match the description.
  • Ziffit does not receive your item within 30 days of you agreeing to the trade.

If Ziffit is at fault for rejecting your items, you get them back at no extra cost. However, your items are disposed of if you are at fault for the rejection. This includes cases in which Ziffit assesses that your item is not in good condition.

4. Getting Paid

Finally, if Ziffit accepts your items, you receive the payment. Depending on your preferences, Ziffit pays through:

  • PayPal
  • Bank transfer
  • Cheque

Typically, Ziffit is quick to pay out:

Payment MethodWaiting Time
PayPal3 days
Bank transfer5 days
Cheque5 days

My Experience With Ziffit

I decided to put Ziffit to the test. And after scanning lots of barcodes, I assembled a collection of books to sell. The best books to sell are new fiction or non-fiction books. Everything else just fetches pennies.

Anyway, I clicked “Complete Trade” and shipped off my books. Sadly, Ziffit rejected the £2.64 book because of signs of use. I thought it was in good condition, but it’s hard to prove when you sent the book off already. I probably underestimated how strict Ziffit would be.

Other than that, I had no problems. I chose PayPal as a payment option, and the money was in my account within two days.

Is Ziffit Worth It?

Whether Ziffit is worth using is ultimately up to you. It is a legit site that pays fast. However, its major downside is that the earning potential is low. If you don’t mind taking your time and making an effort, there are better options. However, Ziffit is the right place if you want fast cash.

Ziffit Review Summary

Ziffit is a platform that buys old books, video games, CDs, and DVDs. You can sell to Ziffit quickly and easily, but you won’t earn much.
