This Quidco review covers everything about this cashback site. Cashback is an easy way to save money when you buy something. Not using it means you may pay more than you have to. But getting cashback isn’t always easy, and many sites are not worth using.
I signed up to Quidco in November 2018 and have earned exactly £37.50 since then. I usually find better cashback rates on other sites, or my cashback gets declined. Quidco seems to work for some, but not for me. You can find all the details below.
🪧 Should you sign up through my affiliate links, I may receive a commission at no cost to you.
What Is Quidco?
Quidco is a cashback site. With cashback, you get money back when you make a purchase via Quidco’s links. For example, if you spend £100 and the cashback rate is 5%, you will get £5 free cash. Using Quidco is free.
Quidco was founded by Paul and Jen Nikkel in 2005 in Yorkshire. Since then, it has become one of the leading cashback sites. Quidco states that they helped over 10 million people to make over £500 million in cashback.
When signing up, you can get £1 free cash as part of the friend referral scheme. To get the bonus, you need to accumulate £5 in cashback.
Is Quidco Legit?
Quidco is a legit site and not a scam. It belongs to Maple Syrup Media Ltd., an appointed representative of Inspop.com Ltd. It is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
On Trustpilot, Quidco has an average score of 4.4 out of 5.0. Overall, 89% of users rated Quidco as great or excellent. The negative reviews are about poor customer service. I agree with this, as I was unable to get help myself.

What Is Trustpilot?
Overall, there are over 150 million reviews on Trustpilot. You can generally get a good understanding of the legitimacy and customer-friendliness of a company.
My Experience With Quidco
As stated above, I earned £37.50 from Quidco since November 2018. I attempted more offers, but my cashback was declined or shows as tracked with no update in years. Quidco’s support team seems to consist of unhelpful bots.

So now I mostly use TopCashback. TopCashback also often has better rates than Quidco Standard. When you join TopCashback, you can also get a £5 free bonus through my link:
How Does Quidco Work?
On the Quidco website, you can find offers from third-party brands. If you click on their links and make a purchase, you will get a proportion of the purchase price back. Quidco will put your cashback into the Quidco wallet, and you can withdraw it from there.
Cashback works because Quidco gets paid to send people to the brand’s site. Then, they can give you a proportion of this money when you make a purchase.
1. How to Open an Account With Quidco
Quidco is free to use. If you are ready to earn cashback, sign up here:
Follow the sign-up process and enter your PayPal email address. The latter is optional, as you can also cash out in vouchers.
2. How to Earn Cashback
Once you have created an account, you are ready to earn! Browse through the offers or look for something specific. Once you have found a brand you would like to buy from, go to the offer details. Read the offer terms to confirm you are eligible for cashback.
Lastly, click “Get cashback” and go to the brand’s website. Turn off your adblocker, as it may prevent you from earning cashback.
Make your purchase as usual. Quidco automatically adds your cashback. You might not get it instantly. If you do not see your cashback within a few days, create a ticket so the support staff can investigate.
In your earnings section, the cashback should appear as “Tracked”. It can take a few months for it to be confirmed. You can only withdraw confirmed cashback.
3. How to Withdraw Money from Quidco
Once your cashback has become payable, you can withdraw it. Head to your account and select “Withdraw”. The minimum withdrawal threshold is £1. You can withdraw through PayPal, bank transfer, or various gift cards, including Amazon.
Withdrawing gift cards gives you a bonus to your cashback. There is a range of gift cards available, but the most notable ones include:
| Brand | Minimum Amount | Bonus (Basic) | Bonus (Premium) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Amazon | £10 | 1% | 2% |
| Deliveroo | £10 | 2.5% | 5% |
| Sainsbury’s | £1 | 2% | 4% |
| Tesco | £1 | 2% | 4% |
| Virgin Experience Days | £10 | 15% | 25% |
| Waitrose | £1 | 1% | 3% |

Is Quidco Premium Worth It?
Quidco Premium is worth it if you use the website more than once per month. If you are a regular user, the higher cashback rates will more than pay for the membership fee.
Quidco has two plans: Standard and Quidco Premium. When you sign up, you start on the free Standard plan. If you want, you can upgrade to Premium.
How Much Is Quidco Premium?
Quidco Premium costs £1 per month, but you only pay for the months when you are making a purchase via Quidco. Therefore, the maximum cost is £12. If you take a break from Quidco, there is no retention fee.
Quidco takes the Premium membership fee from your cashback. So if you earn £5 cashback in a month, you will get £4 and pay £1 to Quidco for your membership fee. You never have to pay real money for your membership.
Quidco will take less if you earn less than £1 monthly cashback. You won’t have a negative balance.
What Are the Benefits of Quidco Premium?
In exchange for the membership fee, you get the following benefits:
- Up to 10% top-up cashback (you earn more cashback than free members)
- Double the difference (you are guaranteed the highest cashback rates)
- Ad-free experience (browse Quidco without ads)
- Up to 20% payout bonus (get extra money when you cash out)
Frequently Asked Questions
How Long Does Quidco Take to Pay Out?
After your cashback tracks, it can take up to three or nine months to be confirmed. Once your cashback is confirmed, you can request a payout. Payouts should take no longer than six working days.
How Reliable Is Quidco?
The problem with cashback sites is that the cashback often doesn’t track. This means you make a purchase via the correct link but won’t get cashback. Personally, most of my cashback has tracked. However, it was declined for reasons unknown, and the support team have been unresponsive.
How Does Quidco Make Money?
You may wonder how Quidco can afford to hand out free cash. Quidco is an advertising space for brands.
A listing on Quidco means you are more likely to see the brand and buy from them. Then, when you click on their links and make a purchase, Quidco earns a commission for referring you. This commission is split; part is Quidco’s revenue, and the other is paid to you. With cashback, everyone involved wins:
- The brands get new customers
- Quidco earns a commission
- You earn cashback

- Cheddar App. Cheddar is a payment app that also has a cashback function. Read more in my Cheddar App review.
